New Life Christian Center of Matehuala

Centro Cristiano Vida Nueva de Matehuala (CCVN) is a full-gospel, non-denominational church located in the city of Matehuala, at the northern edge of the state of San Luís Potosí, in the country of México, about eight hours south of McAllen, Texas, and six hours north of Mexico City.

CCVN was founded in 1991 by three missionaries: Kerry Olson, Ariel Castillo, and Robert May. The first two have long since moved away from Matehuala, and Robert has served as pastor almost since the beginning.

The Christian, bilingual school, Colegio Bilingüe de Matehuala (CBM), was founded in 1993. Click here for more information in English on the Christian school.

Why would you settle for a mere existence...

when you could really live?

So many people go through life just existing, living from day to day without realizing even a fraction of the potential that God has placed in them. They allow the devil to rob them and keep them defeated, so that they are of little use to God or other people.

At CCVN we believe that God wants us all to experience the abundant life NOW—today, and every day. We believe that every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to walk in that abundant life of victory.

Our church is called "New Life" because everyone must be born again in order to really live.

Our church is called "Christian Center" because it is a center of activities for Christians, including corporate worship, prayer and fellowship, Bible study, Christian education, and other miscellaneous activities.

Our church name includes the name of our city because our city is our primary harvest field. We encourage every believer to be an evangelist with their life, within their circle of influence.

Matehuala is known as the "City of Camellias" and the "Pearl of the High Plane." The Potosino High Plane is semi-desert. We believe that God has established CCVN to be an oasis of living water in the middle of the semi-desert.

Jesus said in John 7:38, "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." We encourage every believer to strive to be a blessing to others.

In Matthew 10:39, He said, "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." If you want to really live, then live for God. Put God first in your life. Find out what His perfect will for you is and do it. Honor God in everything you do, and you will experience the abundant life.
